University of Basrah Holds First Meeting of the Central Graduation Ceremony Committee (59th "Lions of Mesopotamia" Class)


The central committee for the University of Basrah’s graduation ceremony held its inaugural meeting to discuss the tasks of the committees responsible for organizing and managing the central ceremony for the 59th class (the "Lions of Mesopotamia" class).During the meeting, University President Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan emphasized the need to avoid the technical and organizational issues that marred previous ceremonies—particularly regarding sound quality, stage management, and the precise coordination of schedules and services—and called for contracting with more professional companies.The President directed the eleven central committees to conduct advance rehearsals and preparations and to optimally activate logistical and media mechanisms. He also stressed the importance of properly accommodating the families of graduating students and providing necessary facilities for them, as well as designating specific seating areas for the University Council, college councils, and faculty members.For his part, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazaal, noted that athletic training sessions and matches are scheduled to take place at the stadium immediately following the ceremony.
